Information
- Competitive paper presentations can be related to any discipline.
- There are no restrictions on topic or length.
- To be competitive, the papers should incorporate primary or secondary research and demonstrate good writing and documentation style.
- Papers will be judged before the conference, and students will be asked to make 5-minute presentation (and answer questions if time permits) of their paper on the day of the conference.
- The use of PowerPoint or other presentation aids is optional.
- Winner of the paper presentation competition will receive a plaque and a book scholarship.

- Although there is no cost to attend the conference for student presenters, all attendees must register for the conference so we have an accurate count for food and materials.
Guidelines and Scoring
- Students will be asked to provide a 5-minute presentation that summarizes their paper. Following the presentation students should be prepared to answer questions from the judges and audience for 5 additional minutes.
- The papers and presentations will be judged on the quality of the paper, quality of the presentation, and the quality of the research performed.
- First, Second, and/or Third place cash/check prizes are awarded depending on the number of participants.
- The check to the winning papers will be written out to the student whose name was provided on the paper entry form.
- Although there is no cost to attend the conference for student presenters, all attendees must register for the conference so we have an accurate count for food and materials.

Information
- Competitive poster presentations can be related to any discipline.
- Team presentations are welcomed.
- All posters will be presented at the same time, typically before lunch on the day of the conference.
- Students will be asked to display their posters and discuss their work with attendees and judges.
- Winner of the poster presentation competition will receive a plaque and a book scholarship.
- Submit a title and 250-word description of the poster using the abstract submission form.
- Although there is no cost to attend the conference for student presenters, all attendees must register for the conference so we have an accurate count for food and materials.
Guidelines and Scoring
- Posters should be no larger than 24x36 inches and mounted on foam board or other material so that they are able to rest on a provided easel.
- Students will be asked to provide a 5 minute (or less) poster presentation that summarize their research. Following the presentation students should be prepared to answer questions from the judges.
- The posters will be judged on the quality of the poster, quality of the presentation, and the quality of the research performed.
- First, Second, and/or Third place cash/check prizes are awarded depending on the number of participants.
- The check to the winning posters will be written out to the student whose name was provided in the poster entry form. It is the responsibility of that person to divide the winnings if needed.
- Students are welcome to bring any additional props, handouts, or electronic media to help demonstrate or explain their topic to visitors. These materials will not be considered for the poster judging.
